Theme: "Ukraine's Democratization and Russia's Authoritarianism"
PREEA hosted a wine & cheese reception on the eve of the Romanian National Day, the anniversary of the 1918 union of all Romanians into one single state. Guests enjoyed Georgian and Transylvanian wine followed by a lecture on "Ukraine's Democratization and Russia's Authoritarianism" by Dr. Anders Åslund. The lecture was followed by a lively discussion with some interesting questions about the implications of the Ukrainian presidential election from students, professors, experts, and embassy representatives.
