Inga Murariu
MSFS Candidate, School of Foreign Service
President
Inga is a 2009 Master of Science in Foreign Service candidate at Georgetown
University, and concentrates her studies in Foreign Policy and
International Security. Prior to coming to Georgetown, Inga worked as a
Political and Economic Assistant at the US Embassy in Chisinau, Moldova.
Over the years she worked as a free-lance translator/interpreter for the
International Monetary Fund, World Bank, OSCE, UNDP and others. Inga
received her Bachelor of Science in International Economic Relations from
the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies.

R. Paul Virk
MSFS Candidate, School of Foreign Service
Vice President
Paul is a 2009 Master of Science in
Foreign Service candidate at Georgetown University. Born in San Francisco, Paul
graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied
Economics and Business Administration. After three years as an analyst with
an international real estate investment fund, Paul served as an NGO
Development Volunteer with Peace Corps in Uzbekistan. He has since
volunteered with UNHCR in Romania, CHF International in Armenia, and IREX
in Russia.

Pavle Milekić
M.A. Candidate, Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies
Chief Financial Officer
Pavle is a M.A. Candidate at the CERES program of Georgetown University,
interested in the Balkans and Russian foreign & security policy. Prior
to coming to Georgetown he majored in international relations and Russian
at the Johns Hopkins University. Over the last summer he worked for the
Swiss investment bank UBS while in London; prior to that, as an
intern/translator for the Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences and the
State Khanty-Mansk museum. Pavle is a native speaker of English and
Serbo-Croatian, fluent in Russian, and conversational in Italian. He was
born in Belgrade.

Sonja Davidovic, M.A.
MSFS Candidate, School of Foreign Service
Advisory Board Liaison
Sonja is a 2009 Master of Science in Foreign Service candidate. Before
coming to Georgetown University, she received a Master of Arts degree in
Political Science, Sinology and Economics from Bonn University, Germany.
Sonja spent a year at the Capital University of Business and Economics in
Beijing, China, on a research scholarship awarded by the German Academic
Exchange Office (DAAD). Over the past years Sonja has worked at university
institutions, diverse public opinion research and public relations institutes,
the Serbian Embassy in Berlin, and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in
Frankfurt am Main. Sonja's native languages are Serbian and German, she
also speaks French, Spanish and intermediate level Chinese.

Victor Voronov
J.D. Candidate, Georgetown University Law Center
Director of Communications and External Relations
Victor Voronov is a third year law
student at Georgetown University Law Center. Upon graduation in 2008, he
has accepted an offer to work for the global law firm Chadbourne &
Parke LLP in their New York and Moscow branch offices. Prior to Law School,
he graduated from Emory University with a double major in Political Science
and Russian Studies. He was also enrolled in the Economics Faculty at
Moscow State University. He has extensive political, economic, and academic
experience in the region. He worked as a consultant, advising CIS-based
companies looking to expand operations to North America; He explored the
transitioning Russian legal system as a research assistant at Columbia
University, and during his time in Moscow, he worked with the Russian
Trading System Stock Exchange.

Emily Stromquist
M.A. Candidate, Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies
Director of Events
Emily is a first year M.A. candidate in CERES at Georgetown. She received
her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in
International Relations and Russian Language and Literature. Emily has
worked in the renewable energy sector for a company in the UAE, and for the
year prior to attending Georgetown, she worked as a senior research
assistant for a project looking at democratic transitions in post-communist
Europe and Eurasia. Her academic and professional interests include Central
Asia, Russian foreign policy, and energy security in Eurasia.

Anastasiya Shapochkina
M.A. Candidate, BMW
Center for German and European Studies
Director of Membership Affairs
Anastasiya Shapochkina is a 2009 candidate
of Master of Arts in German and European Studies (MAGES) in Georgetown
University School of Foreign Service concentrating on energy security,
natural resources, and the use of nuclear power for civil purposes. She has
received her BA in History with honors from Hunter College, the City
University of New York and spent one year studying politics in the Free
University Berlin with the Undergraduate Scholarship from the German
Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Prior to her studies in Georgetown, she has
worked in the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York.
Anastasiya’s native languages are Russian and Ukrainian, she also
speaks fluent German and intermediate level French.

Kalo Milkoff
MBA Candidate, McDonough School of Business
Director of Technology and Media Relations
Kalo is a first year Master in Business Administration candidate at
Georgetown University. For the past 8 years Kalo has held technology
leadership and entrepreneurial roles in project management, network
engineering and information security. Immediately prior to Georgetown, Kalo
lead a software managed services start up in Bulgaria. His interests
include international business diplomacy and Eastern European development
issues. Kalo is a native speaker of Bulgarian and is fluent in Russian.
